BeautyARMY February Box Review

As I stated in my previous post, I am now signed up for both the BeautyARMY box and the Birchbox sample box.
BeautyARMY is great for so many reasons. You start your subscription by filling out a small beauty profile, letting the company know which samples you might be interested in. And then gives you 9 different options to choose from(you get 6) allowing you to customize your samples, or even opt out if you don't see any samples you're interested in that month.
The samples I chose this month were mostly for my skin care obsession.
The first sample I picked was EMANI Minerals Foundation Primer. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I am excited to. It claims to fill on fine lines and is a base for foundation. I generally use a BB cream instead of a foundation but I will be using this soon.

The BeautyARMYs Whip Hand brand Loose Pigment eyeshadow was a super fun sample! It is a gorgeous bronze shimmer. I have used it both dry, as a normal eye shadow, and wet, as a very funky eyeliner. I would love to grab a few more shades to play with.

Another one of my skin care samples this month is a brand I see all the time in Target but have never bought it, this has made me reconsider. Yes to Blueberries Eye Firming Treatment smells amazing, a light blueberry smell, and rubs in completely, very light and soft on the skin.

Because I frequently color my hair I picked out the Macadamia Natural Oil brand Deep Repair Masque. I haven't tried it yet, I actually can't wait to use it on my daughters long curly hair.

A favorite of mine this month is the 'skyn ICELAND' Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels!!! They are like a wonderful little spa treatment that you can sneak in a quick 10minutes. As a mother of two, very active kids, puffy eyes due to lack of sleep is a problem for me. The cool, firming gel on these eye pads made my under eye area feel AMAZING! I used them when I had a headache as well, and it actually helped take the edge off of it! Oh, and they made the swelling/puffiness go down quickly and made me feel wonderful! I am a committed user for life!!! Love love love these!!!

The last sample I got, which was actually a large sized sample, was Jonathan Product Dirt texturizing paste. I love hair products and currently have my hair pretty short so I require a wide variety of products. This one works well for smoothing but it's not quite stiff enough for spiking my hair. It does smell better than most though, and it works well for texture just not for what I need with m haircut right now.

But overall I love the pampering aspects of this box. It's a pretty fantastic present in the mail 😊

Birchbox February Box Review

After seeing many monthly beauty box subscriptions on different TV shows and magazines, I finally talked myself into signing up. And not just for one subscription but two! I did a lot of research and decided on BeautyARMY (mainly for the ability to pick my own samples each month and being able to easily opt out of a month for any reason) and Birchbox (despite the 2-3month wait, it's totally worth it for the quality products in the boxes each month).

My first review is on BirchBox:

February was a pretty great month for samples.
Birchbox was wonderful! The focus this month was on Oscar Red Carpet ready looks.

The perfume sample this month was Juicy Couture's new perfume COUTURE LA LA. It has a nice scent, combining lily and orange blossom to make a clean floral scent. A little bit too much for me, I am into less floral smells, but my daughter loves it! So it's a win! :)

I was happy to find a new skin care/make up product to try out. I love the idea of BB Creams but have a hard time finding one that covers well enough. The Dr. Jart+ BB Beauty Balm is the best I have found so far. It also has SPF25, which I LOVE! Saves me a step in the morning. It has a nice finish, a little tacky at first but smooths out well. It also has a nice scent to it as well. And it covers nicely for a BB cream. The full-size is $36 and is sold on Birchbox.com, I will probably end up buying it after I use all my sample.

My favorite product this month (which I have used A TON already!) is the Beauty Protector detangler. It smells AMAZING!!! A yummy coconut oil smell. And keeps my hair soft and smooth. I highly recommend this product!!! And at only $21.95 for a full-size bottle it's a major deal. My daughter, who has long tangly hair, uses this product too and it has been wonderful on her hair!

I am a nail polish addict so I welcome any/all new colors. This month came with a full size nail polish sample, from a company called Color Club. The color is called Wild Cactus but it really resembles an emerald color. It is truely a gorgeous, original color! Very fun and funky for the fall. And emerald is a perfect color for their red carpet theme this month. Obsessed with this sample!!!

And what box of goodies is complete without some chocolate!!! Yummy!!! Does this company know its clients or what?!?😊 And it's Ghiradelli chocolate with caramel! Super yummy!
